Great quiet location walking distance from my Airbnb. Iced vanilla latte tasted great. Smaller inside but nice seating outside as well.

Coffeehouses are popping up everywhere it seems and on a recent visit to Pittsburgh to explore the beer and coffee scenes, I was pleasantly surprised at just how many coffeehouses call the Pittsburgh area home. One of the most popular and best is Commonplace Coffee. At Commonplace Coffee, you can order a chai latte, mocha latte, teas in different flavors, cold brew, or just a regular cup of java black or any way you like it. They serve delicious blueberry muffins and other snacks and the atmosphere is about as laid back and friendly as it could possibly be. Speaking of the atmosphere, it has an artistic vibe and you will notice different art work on the walls as you sit and sip on your beverage. The inside is on the small side and seats are somewhat limited, but if the weather is nice, I recommend heading across the street. There is an outdoor space with seating where you can soak up a natural setting while sipping on your brew. Coffeehouses are nice and Commonplace is one of the best of all in the Pittsburgh area. I liked everything about this coffeehouse and I recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Trendy small cafe in a small neighborhood. My friend and I stopped here for coffee and a snack after exploring the neighborhood. I had an iced Americano and the chocolate chip cookie was really good. She really enjoyed her tea and muffin.

Two delicious coffees. My husband got a black drip and I chose the maple clove latte. The latte was perfectly balanced-not too sweet with a nice flavor from the maple and clove.

This little coffee shop is a pure gem. I visit Pittsburg at least once a year for work, and make sure I stop in at Commonplace every time. Their pour over coffees and espressos are fantastic, and baked goods always hit the spot. It’s the perfect little place (whether in the cafe or in the park) to get a relaxing moment.

I always come here when I’m in the north shore! Delicious chai lattes and lavender lattes. The turkey sandwiches are particularly yummy. Very kind staff who gave my cat some creamer when he was thirsty.

Quaint little coffee shop in the neighborhood. They serve variety of drinks from the coffee beans roasted by Commonplace coffee. We did not try their bakery this time, but saw pretty much everyone else ordered some and everything looked yummy. Tried their cold brew and hot latte with house-made honey flavor, both were really good. For those who do not drink coffee, they also have matcha latte, chai latte, or hot cocoa and tea available as well. Such a nice and relaxing atmosphere to come enjoy your day or finish up some work. The staffs were very nice as well. Will definitely be back

Five stars for Commonplace Coffee! The person working the front was incredibly friendly, personable, and kind—she truly made the visit stand out. Great service paired with a welcoming vibe makes this a spot I’d definitely come back to.

What an amazing find! I spent 30 minutes online to find a really good coffee shop & boy was i happy to have picked Commonplace Coffee. The coffee was superb, such a nice robust & rich flavour, just the opposite to the chains. Cakes were far better than expected too & such a good size (bring an appetite). However, the real winner here were the staff & the atmosphere they created. Amy & Andrew were so friendly and an absolute credit to the business. They really made it so very special. Thanks!
